Wrapping Paper

There’s just 7 weeks to Christmas, and what does that mean?...an abundance of wrapping paper!

Did you know… over Christmas as much as 83 square km of wrapping paper will end up in the UK rubbish bins, enough to cover an area larger than Guernsey!!

So, it’s high time we came up with some alternatives.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

10 TIPS OF WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP WHEN STAYING IN HOTELS

Apex Hotels have a strong environmental ethos and we think it would be quite cool if you did too.
That’s why we’ve created some top tips for your next stay in our hotels so you can be doing your bit for the environment away from home.
1) Switch off lights and electrical appliances when not required, tv’s and cd/dvd players on standby still use power.
2) Only boil enough water in the kettle for the number of cups needed.
3) Leave your newspapers and bottles out of the bin and we will put them in our recycling at the end of your stay.
4) Feel free to take home your soap, if not don’t worry as we will donate it to a local charity.
5) If you wish to leave the bottles of toiletries behind, we will donate them to a local charity.
6) Re-use your towels by hanging them on the towel rail.
7) Don’t run the tap whilst brushing your teeth.
8) Open the window to cool down instead of using the air cooler.
9) Put on a jumper instead of turning the heating on.
10) Walk, cycle or take public transport whenever possible.
